Breakfast and Breaktime Snacks for Schools

The following grants were awarded to local schools for the 24/25 academic year:

£1,400 awarded to Friends of Connor Downs Academy to provide children with a healthy breaktime snack, encouraging healthy eating help children maintain a healthy diet.  Any leftover fruit is used in the school kitchen.  

£400 awarded to Busy Bodies Pre school to provide a wide selection of fresh fruit to benefit children attending pre-school and toddler sessions. And has provided an opportunity for discussion about healthy food.  Children have begun to ask for their favourite fruit, so a shopping list is now made with the children.

£1,100 awarded to Gwinear Primary School for a wider variety of breakfast choices, Breakfast Around the World and healthy snack for Wraparound Care sessions.  Numbers have increase allowing more children to access a healthy meal to start the day.  Parents were invited to Breakfast Around the World to share and take part in a community event.
