Following the Spring Directors meeting, a new director has been appointed to the Gwinear Gwithian Sustainable Communities Fund Board.
Janet McEwan is a resident of the parish, and brings considerable experience to the board. She lives on a small farm, which she works with sustainability and wildlife conservation very much in mind. In addition, she has a fine art practice, which is often situated beyond conventional gallery spaces, and frequently considers the dynamics between natural and man-made worlds. Outputs include public events, sculpture and film.
Janet has worked over the years with various community groups; establishing and supporting them, applying for grant funding, and project managing community art and environment projects in a variety of settings, and GGSCF is delighted to be tapping into this knowledge and experience.
